Here are a few of my recent recordings. Single take, totally raw, and in a hurry.

Fun in the Leaves
Mom got to spend the day with the boys outside. I think the leaves got moved around a lot but might not have made it to the compost pile... Looks like a good time was had though.

Spooky Faces
We're getting ready for Halloween around here. Don't be too afraid, it's just Sam and Sol... Solomon spent good time with Grandma the School this week at the li-buraary (right dad?) making many jack-o-lanterns. Somewhere Samson learned to make this spooky face and taught his brother. It is Mom's favorite time of year and we have the decorations to prove it!Monday, October 6, 2008

New Pit

This weekend we made the first major addition to the outside of our home. A new fire pit with footing and all. The old pit has been removed and sodded over with what I took out for the new one. We love having bonfire as a family and look forward to many cool nights this autumn aroung our new fire pit. Thank you to my friend Jason Brown who helped me out!

MORE CAKE!
I'll never have "to sit across the table from you wishing I could run".*
For our 9 year anniversary Brandi and I went to the CAKE concert at the Fred Meijer Gardens Amphitheater in Grand Rapids. It was a dream come true for me. They may be my all time favorite band and rocked it out like pros. CAKE made an excellent set choice, rocking it out bringing tunes from all 6 albums. John McCrea's vibra-slap was in full effect on several (if not most) songs. Not even Bruce Dickenson could leave a CAKE concert needing more.
Brandi and I both had a spectacular time and thank my mom for looking after the boys while we had our date. Looks like I managed to take a picture from one of the worst angles of my face, Brandi is beautiful as always.

Fruitport Carnival
Last week a colleague recommended the Fruitport carnival. He and his daughters had so much fun and so did we. Samson was tall enough to go on the majority of the rides. Unfortunatly Sol is still a bit to short. He's one after all... at least for another week. He still had fun taking in all the sites and sounds. Samson road Nascars, elephants
, spinning dragons, a huge slide, a train, bumper cars (dad drove), the carousel, the farris wheel, buggy cars, and ran through two fun houses about five times.

Investing in Family Time
Last week we were able to find a pop-up camper that fit our budget and wants. We got it home and setup in the driveway the first night. Brandi made dinner and we at it in the camper. Sam was absolutely beside himself with joy. Probably as excited as Christmas. Even Dooley was excited and spent some time finding himself a proper resting spot inside. We look forward to the good times we will have together.

More of our trip to the Farm
Tired at play!
Look at this cute little busy body. Tues. morning (March 2, 2008) Solomon wanted to play play-dough in his chair and chose to sit there for over an hour as happy as can be. This is very unusual for this little fast mover. He is constantly on the go. (above left: Solomon cooking and wearing his little apron.)
It was almost time for lunch, Brandi was preparing, and next thing...... he was fast asleep with his blanky and book.

Sol's room
This picture of the boys is roughly 18 months old but today is the fist day of this blog and I just had to get something up. Sol had not been with us very long at this point and we were still on Eastland. Sam has replaced some of these hugs with shoves but these brothers love each other more every day.
Hello!
It's probably about time a our family had a better presence on the web for family and friends, so here we go. Coming soon...
